German 4/4 violin made in the Maggini model and dating from the first half of the 20th century.
Brown varnish on a yellow background.
The table and the back are circled with a double net and the volute has an additional winding to comply with Maggini’s manufacturing criteria.
The back is in two parts of maple and measures 365 mm.
The pegs and fingerboard are in ebony. Note traces of wear and small knocks on the fairly dry varnish.
This very sound violin has no fractures.
It is fitted with Corelli crystal strings.
It bears a label from Maggini and another from Meineil & Herold Klingenthal.
