The French company Vandoren was founded in 1905 by clarinetist Eugène Van Doren. Its head office as well as the test studios are at 56 rue Lepic in Paris, which has also given its name to one of the brand's ranges of reeds. As for the manufacturing workshops, they are located in Bormes-les-Mimosas, in the Var, in the very heart of the reed beds.

From reed cultivation to the latest finishes, Vandoren has developed its own machines, endowed with exceptional precision, and this century-old know-how is recognized today in more than 100 countries: selection of canes, perfection in the cut of the reed, permanent checking of tools, precision less than 1 / 100th of a millimeter, sophisticated electronic equipment, final selection in half-strengths, constant quality controls ...

This extreme rigor at all stages of manufacture is accompanied by constant research to ensure the best possible quality, making Vandoren reeds a world reference in the field!
