Played by North America Indians, the Native flute, with its majestic sound, is playable by everyone. Its playing technique (close to the recorder) is very expressive (glissando, vibrato, staccato...). It can be played directly on the mouthpiece but a small plastic tube is included, that allows to play without damaging the wood with the saliva acidity. It has 6 holes but the left hand 3rd hole is often closed with a removable leather tie, to make it a 5-hole flute. Each flute is decorated with a bird, placed on the window and tied with a leather strap. A booklet with CD is included with each flute. The Golden Eagle model is in key of F# and measures between 60 and 65 cm long. It is made out of cedar and decorated with beige and light brown leather straps. This Lakota-style F# sharp flute, is great for solo play, and slightly deeper in tone than the Redtail Hawk in G. This key is used in many of the Native American flute recordings. This flute is recommended for those who have experience playing wind instruments. The Golden Eagle has a melodic mystical voice. With a double flute you play the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the root note of the flute. It sounds like two people are playing together. Double flutes have a double mouthpiece so you can switch from a double flute to a single flute instantly without adjustments. The special making of this flute generates more amplitude (volume) and the drone plays the low and high octaves easily. Nota: Wood colors and shades may vary slightly.
